Elegant polychrome woodblock print of vertical large oban (大判) format made, in January 1870, by the artist Utagawa Yoshiiku (歌川芳幾) and taken from the series "Comparison of the Flowers of Fukagawa at the Height of Their Beauty" (巽花全盛競).

The work, produced by the publisher Tsujiokaya Bunsuke (辻岡屋文助), owner of Kinshodo (金松堂), portrays the courtesan Kanehisa (甲子久) of the Kinoeneya (甲子屋) in the company of her young kamuro (禿) assistant Kagome (か小め).

The print on Japanese washi paper (和紙), despite the right and evident signs of aging, is in overall good condition.
