Beautiful polychrome woodblock print of vertical large oban (大判) format depicting the courtesan Takao (高尾) of the house of pleasure Miuraya (三浦屋) among the blossoming cherry trees in the night of the Shin Yoshiwara (新吉原) district.

The work, by the famous artist Utagawa Kunisada (歌川国貞), was produced in April 1855 by the publisher Sanoya Kihei (佐野屋喜兵衛), owner of Kikakudo (喜鶴堂).

The print on Japanese washi paper (和紙), despite the right signs of aging including slight stains and wrinkles as well as the presence of small cracks, is in fair condition.
