Famous woodblock printed illustration made in 1822 by the artist Keisai Eisen (渓斎英泉) and depicting the Dutchman Herr Brau who, before returning to his homeland, says goodbye to his beloved courtesan of the pleasure district of Maruyama (丸山) in Nagasaki (長崎).

The work is taken from the second volume (下巻) of the first part (一編) of the erotic shunpon (春本) "Keichu kibun: makura bunko" (閨中紀聞 枕文庫), that is "News from the Bedroom: The Pillow Library".

The print on Japanese washi paper (和紙), despite the right signs of aging, is in good general condition.
