Beautiful polychrome woodblock print, left panel of a triptych entitled "Summer: Cooling Off between the Bridges" (夏 橋間乃すづ美), depicting a bijin (美人) beauty aboard a boat on a summer evening under the famous Ryogoku Bridge (両国橋), on the Sumida River (隅田川).

The print is taken from the series "Excursions in the Four Seasons" (四季遊観) and is a re-edition, in chuban (中判) format, of a work originally made between 1843 and 1847 by the artist Utagawa Kuniyoshi (歌川国芳) and produced by the publisher Ibaya Senzaburo (伊場屋仙三郎), owner of Dansendo (団仙堂).

The woodcut on Japanese washi paper (和紙), despite the presence of a slight vertical fold mark along the right margin, is in overall very good condition.
