Rare original woodblock print of horizontal large oban (大判) format made in the 1910s by the artist Tsugumi Biho (鶫美宝). The work is taken from the series "Eastern Figures" (東すかた) and is entitled "Goraikyaku" (御らいきやく), that is "The Visitor".

The print, depicting a bijin (美人) beauty who is welcomed in the genkan (玄関) entryway of an elegant mansion in front of which a plum tree (梅) blooms, was produced by the publisher Akiyama Buemon (秋山武右衛門), owner of Kokkeido (滑稽堂).

The woodcut on Japanese washi paper (和紙), despite the presence of some signs of aging including slight wrinkles in particular on the margins, is in overall good condition.
