Beautiful original woodblock print of horizontal chuban (中判) format depicting a bijin (美女) beauty who, standing on the prow of a yanebune (屋根船) pleasure boat sailing on the Sumida River (隅田川), is admiring the yaezakura (八重桜) "double" cherry blossoms.

The work was produced in January 1879 by the publisher Tsutaya Kichizo (蔦屋吉蔵), owner of Koeido (紅英堂), and is taken from the series "Places in Tokyo Famous for Flowers" (東京花名所) by the artist Utagawa Hiroshige III (三代目歌川広重).

The print on Japanese washi paper (和紙), despite the right signs of aging, is in very good general condition.
