Important original woodblock print of vertical large oban (大判) format, made in the twenties of the 19th century by the famous artist Keisai Eisen (渓斎英泉) and depicting the courtesan Koshikibu (小式部) looking at the snowy landscape out of a window of the house of pleasure Tamaya (玉屋).

The work, printed by the publisher Omiya Heihachi (近江屋平八), is taken from the series "Romantic Musical Fans" (拍子逢妓) and is paired with the narrative song Kurabe Botan (くらべ牡丹), that is "Peony Competition".

The precious print shows the right signs of aging of the Japanese washi paper (和紙), as well as restorations on woodworm holes.
