Elegant polychrome woodblock print made in 1862 by the artist Koikawa Shozan (恋川笑山) and depicting a young woman crouched under a pine tree (松) on the shores of Lake Biwa (琵琶湖), the largest lake in Japan, located in the ancient Omi Province (近江国).

The print is the cover of a shunpon (春本) entitled "Enshoku Omi hakkei" (艶色近江八景), that is "Eight Amorous Views of Omi", an erotic parody of the "Omi hakkei" (近江八景) series dedicated by many ukiyo-e (浮世絵) artists to the eight famous views of today's Shiga Prefecture (滋賀県).

The woodcut on Japanese washi paper (和紙), despite the signs of aging including tiny holes and a partial trimming of the margins, is in fair condition.
